Still Having Trouble With Wireless Networking..?
All I know is;
-I have a BT broadband home hub with wireless capabilities
-I just purchesed a Windows Vista Basic Laptop with wireless capabilities. & Yes the wireless is turned on
-My desktop PC is Windows Media Edition and is currently connected to the internet.. firewall is down.
The two computers ARE connecting but only with limited capability. SSL and TLS protocols are enabled and I have all the correct SSID information. The hub name is being reconised..
I have no ethernet cable and unless the home hub is a wireless router, i dont have one of those either..
Can anyone please help and simplify it!! xx

How do I get a WEP key.. it says Iv’e got no keys provided…
The HUB name is being recognized by what?? Your wireless notebook computer??? If so, That’s a good sign, but maybe your hub does not broadcast at a very fast rate wirelessly. Does your hub specify wireless B or G. ??? You might need to get a wireless G router instead of the hub your are using.
You can typically get a pretty good Lynksys brand wireless G router for about 50 bucks these days.
